PTO-Sponsored Events

The residency included African storytelling, intertwined with African dance and drumming to bring the story to life. At the end of the week, select students from Ms. Sherry’s and Ms. Cynthia’s classes shared what they had learned with peers, parents and PRM staff.
The students from these classes were chosen because of their ability to perform the dance, as well as keep a rhythm on the drums.
The drummer from Oneaka Dance Co. who performed at the sharing event was actually a former PRM student named Bilal, whose talent made the whole experience a memorable one for all involved. The residency was sponsored by the PTO.

This day was no day to be counting calories! The PTO-sponsored event featured a salad bar with all the fixings, a delicious potato soup, rolls, and a wonderful variety of desserts.
The annual event was just one way we try to show our appreciation for all that our teachers and staff members do. Your PTO dollars at work!
Also, a big thank you to our organizer, Ginger Salmon, along with all of the parents who volunteered their time or treats to make the event a success.
